Zeno As An Acne Treatment

In this article I’m going to talk about an interesting form of acne treatment called “Zeno”.

So what exactly is Zeno, and how can it treat acne?

Well, basically, the Zeno is a small handheld electronic device. It’s been proven that it can help get rid of pimples, and do it quickly (we’re talking 24 hours timeframe).

Now you’re probably wondering how it does this. It’s actually quite simple. The Zeno device heats up the pimple to around 120 degrees.

It does this for around 2 and a half minutes. If you do this two or three times over the course of a 24 hour period, it will get rid of your acne.

Why does this work?

 To explain how it works, you need to know the 4 main causes of why acne occurs. The first reason is when the hair follicle becomes plugged. Another reason is too much sebum being produced, the third reason is the pore becoming inflamed, and finally, the forth reason is the presence of something called propionibacterium acnes.

Now the Zeno doesn’t cure all four of these problems. Instead, it tackles the last two. When it heats up the skin, the heat itself as well as the heat-shock proteins in your body kill the bacteria that is giving you acne. The influx of these heat-shock proteins also reduces the inflammation in your pores.

Something you will probably be wondering, is does it hurt? Surprisingly, it doesn’t. The heat isn’t at a very high level, and although it leaves a little skin redness, it won’t hurt. (The skin redness won’t last long either).

Although Zeno does get good results (and there are plenty of testimonials out there) it is only meant as a solution for people with mild or moderate acne. And it doesn’t replace good skin care.

One thing to bear in mind is that the Zeno treats the symptom of acne, and not the cause. Some people see it as only a short-term solution to the problem of acne.

Another thing you need to know about the Zeno is that the tips need to be replaced after a certain amount of uses. You can get replacements suitable for 60 uses, 90 uses, and 150 uses. These are available through a Physician.

So now let’s talk about cost. These aren’t the cheapest little things, with the standard Zeno at $159, the Pro model at $185, and the best model at $200.

What’s the difference between the models?

The standard model comes with the Zeno device, a wall charger, and a 60-use tip.

The pro model comes with a 90-use treatment tip, a leather case and a mirror. Plus the wall charger.

And finally, the best model (called the Zeno MD) is only available to your doctor. It comes with the leather case and mirror, the wall charger, and a 150-use treatment tip.

Okay, that’s about all I’ve got to say about Zeno as an acne treatment. It certainly does work very well, and if you’re the kind of person who has tried everything, then this may very well work for you. It’s especially effective if you only have mild acne, and is a good way to keep it in check.
